multi-media lighting designer
Marco Ferrero has been involved in arts and music since childhood. As a musician in his late teens, Marco became interested in combining projected images with music. This led to the creation of elaborate projection based installations for his own concerts and those of other local bands.
In 1989 he formed Optical Delusion and for the next 10 years created stunning projection installations for music events all over the world from Elton John at Madison Square Garden to the Pyramids at Giza.
More recently he has done visuals for The Allman Brothers 50th anniversary celebration, Gwen Stefani, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead and many more. His work has also been seen at many iconic venues such as Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall for The String Cheese Incident New Years celebration, Red Rocks Amphitheater, Washington D.C.s National Cathedral and San Franciscos Grace Cathedral. Other clients include Coachella, Bonnaroo, Electric Forest, Mountain Jam, Desert Daze, Gathering of the Vibes, San Fransisco Pride, The Woodstock Film Festival, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon and HBO.
